I can't say this sleepover was much different than the last one. The girls got along about the same, maybe a little better. We had a great time in the evening with a bonfire in the backyard, roasted marshmallows and s'mores. All the neighborhood kids were there, as well as many of the neighborhood adults - so it was fun for everyone. The girls were in bed and asleep by 10:30.
But, they got up at 4:30 in the morning.
Again, as last year, it took the entire day for all of us to recover. Grace and I each had a nap in the afternoon - she slept for 2 1/2 hours, I slept for one. AJ snoozed on the couch for a while, and Jake spent several hours awake, but crashed on the couch in front of the tv.
I'm vowing now that will be Grace's last sleepover with more than one friend, until she becomes a teenager and they all want to sleep until noon. Then, I think I will be able to deal with it.

Wow...I don't remember EVER getting up that early at slumber parties! I remember trying to stay awake as long as I could, for two reasons:
1) I did NOT want to be the first to fall asleep and get my hand dipped in warm water...I had to sleep with a trash bag under my bed anyway; my bladder didn't need any encouragement.
2) We had to, like, watch movies and gossip and stay up Wicked Late, and giggle, and I TOTALLY didn't want to be the one who slept through whatever the funniest part of the party turned out to be...
Poor Katrine...early sleepers, early risers...
At least you had s'mores!!
Oh, and my homemade pizza? Usually a chopped up tomato, onion, and some slices of chicken sausage...mmmm.
Now I'm craving pizza.
